I have collected over 200 of these little plastic dogs during my previous years, and decided I would show you some of my favourties! Some are grouped by breed, and the ones in the center are just my random favs. And yes, I know all of their names, you would just have to ask! Enjoy!
Whoa, 200? I had like 5% of that ^.^ I love the grey Bernese Mountain dog in the back-ish, and the black and tan dog stretching in the front I haven't seen before. Is that a german shepard second to the right in the lower right hand corner? *german shepards*
Oh this is awesome. I have 85 PimPs, including several of the new ones, and I thought that was a lot--over 200?! *gasp* I envy you!!!
I like the color variations! Let's see, I've got Cobra the Boxer in the darker colors; Cliff the Rottweiler bowing; Zerk the Doberman w/ the shredded newspaper; Belle the new Doberman; Milton the bowing German Shepherd; Shadow the new black German Shepherd; Gemma the black/white Border Collie lying down and Blair the rough Collie, who is tan/white with a red ball; Meteor the standing tan/white Jack Russell; Magnum the grey/white Husky; Cody the new Husky; Scooper the grey Irish Wolfhound; Flint the lying-down red/white Saint Bernard; Bruno the new Saint Bernard; Vanessa the Afghan hound w/ the green shoe; Lola the new Afghan; Ginny the yellow Lab; Sissy the new chocolate Lab; Merlin & Ben the old chocolate Labs; Tracker the old yellow Lab; Big Boy the tricolor Bernese Mountain Dog and Glib the grey/white one.
I'd really LOVE to have found the other Irish Wolfhounds (the guy on the skateboard and the black variation of Scooper), Poppy and that other Afghan Hound, and the solid white BMD. That's pretty awesome. Glib is one of my faves 'cause his color choice is so unique. xD I'd especially love to have the other Afghans...::

Wow, its really cool to now find people who also have and love puppy in my pockets! To bad I didn't find you years before, when I still played with them, cuz I was big time into them, including trying to find the ones I didn't have, and doing trades!!
I also had doubles, which I re-painted to make different dogs!
I think the names of them are different in the US, and Canada!
Well thanks for replying!!

I also had doubles, which I re-painted to make different dogs, so unfortunatly, not all of them are originals. And back in my younger days, I also added paint to some of my originals, which now I regret doing!
I think the names of them are different in the US, and Canada, because lots of the ones you are describing, that I know, are all named different on my cards!
Have you seen the 'new' puppy in my pockets, the one's with the big heads? I really don't like them, and probably would have stopped collecting them once I couldn't buy the old version of them anymore! But yeah, back in the day, I was 'Obsessed' with my pups, me and my best friend, who also has over 150+. We both still have all of them, though mine are at my moms still, as I live with my boyfriend in our own place now, but yah... im glad you wrote me about them, it really takes me back!!
Mannn.... the games Steph and I made up for them, we had Kings/Queens, guards, warriors, horse trainers, mages and different towns etc!! It was a blast!!
So hey, out of curiosity, how old are you? I am now 22, but to be honest, I played with them until I was around 16... sorta embarrasing, but we really were 'crazed' over them!! Lol!
Im pretty excited to have found someone else who loves them so much! We should defenitly talk more, maybe even on MSN IM if you have it? Though, to let you know, I dont get on the net as often as I used to, because I only have Dial up internet at my new place, so DA is VERY slow loading on it.
I assume you live in the states? Just my guess as the names you are giving me are different than what I have for them... But yeah, this was really fun talking to you, and we should do more!!
Yah know.... If there are some you really like, and I might have a double of, (even if it's painted) if you are really interested, I 'might' be willing to do a trade/give the pup to you! Depends on how much I like the pup! Ok, well I have to go, but I look forward to talking to you again!! Bye!!!

Okay, first off, dont feel embarrassed at all, because Im 21 and I dont intend to stop playing with the PimPs any time soon!! XD I wish I had known anyone else back in the day who was crazy about them like I was, since even among my school friends I was the only one with that particular collection. So I never did trading or anything, though in more recent years Ive looked up all the pups I had wanted but dont own because they seemed to disappear from stores after a certain point, and all those that I hadnt obtained just didnt show up in Bradlees or anyplace else there turned out to be way too many to try and purchase one at a time. I decided to be satisfied with my current collection, which isnt too bad. ^^
Making new pups out of doubles is an interesting idea! I have doubles of the vet care pups with the injuries that are supposed to go away under cold water (Mary the Old English Sheepdog, Jeremy the Basset Hound, Buddy the Dalmatian.) I sometimes thought about painting them, but never did. Guess I thought it wouldnt come out well.
Yeah, Im in the U.S. and it seems every country gave them their own names, because Ive talked to fans in Sweden and other places as well, and the names are always different!
I actually have about 19 of the new flocked pups with the big heads in my collection, but I really am not overly serious about trying to get them all, because I prefer the old ones by miles. Their names were better, they were more creative and realistic, etc. Many of the new ones have a sillier look, like the new Littlest Pet Shop animals. All the same, I couldnt resist getting a few sets, mainly because I wanted certain favorite breeds of mine that I was impressed that they made (like the Bedlington Terrier, and the new Afghan, etc.) Theyre all *cute*, and I love my new ones, but on the whole the quality of the old PIMPs is definitely superior.
Oh, boy, it is really great to hear from somebody else who was obsessed!! What fun I had with all my little guys I cant even think of all the games I made up for them and the pictures I took of them. X3 I had them as a giant sled team, riding an airplane, at pool parties in the bathroom sink and Barbie pools and even our actual backyard pool, I made them all classmates at school and used their cards as their report cards and paired them up to go to prom, I held weddings and made my mom marry some of them, I got my younger brother into them for a while his favorite was always Rook the Dalmatian, I remember .and we would do all kinds of things. We divided them up and had them fight a war, made them play along with game shows on TV, they had Presidential elections where we divided them into Republicans and Democrats XDDD Wow, it was crazy how much fun I had!
I would love to talk to you more, though I dont have MSN, just AOL--and same here, I dont use it very much at all anymore, mainly because of college and my ultra-busy-ness. =[ I also totally understand about slow connections, sometimes mine just slows to a crawl for no apparent reason, even though its not theoretically supposed to. :/ But Im sure well find a way to talk sometime! ^^
As to the idea of trading and such that is so generous of you to even consider! :3 Let me see. The only ones I could easily part with would of course be Mary, Buddy, and Jeremy since Ive got two of them. Well, there are ones such as Drac and Buffy the Bichons, where the only difference between them is the color of the pillow they sit on and whether its glittery or not--but I do sorta have it in my mind that all those are still individuals, just twins or whatever, lol whereas the vet care guys are actual duplicates of the same one, with the same name and everything. Anyways, Im not sure if you have any of those 3 pups but which ones do you have doubles of that you *might* consider giving away? Id hate to take one away from you even if we traded and though I might really love to have it ; unless you were perfectly okay with it, so I wanna basically leave it up to you! Because I could potentially be interested in almost anybody that I dont have, especially Poppy or the other ones I mentioned well, yes, I will leave it as your choice! :] Reminds me, maybe you should see my collection. I can try to upload a photo soon as I can.
Thank you SO much for the kind response! ^.^

Woah, Trades? I wouldn't have anything to trade with anyway, but there are a few I'm looking for.
That's very interesting, I thought they would have the same names.
Hey, no problem. ^^
